The L Street Summer Youth Activities Program is back beginning on Monday, July 18, and ending on Thursday, August 18. The program is free. The hours of the program are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. There will be supervision during lunch hour but you are required to bring your own lunch. Lunch will not be provided. Children must be 6 to 12 years of age. An original birth certificate must be provided for each child. South Boston residents have first preference and must show proof of residency with two utilities bills i.e. gas/electric/cable or phone (water bills are not accepted).
At least one parent must be a current member of the center. Registration is held the Friday before each week with Shannon Murphy at the K Street section of the Curley Community Center. Friday July 15 at 9 a.m. is registration time for the starting week of July 18. You must have your registration card, child/children’s birth certificate and proof of residency with you when registering. The program fills fast and only has thirty slots allotted, so please be sure to have all the above with you when registering.
