South Boston Resident Parking Program Update
      The Boston Transportation Department has recently installed the signage for the fourth phase of the South Boston Resident Parking Program. Warning notices are being issued this week with the issuance of parking tickets on Monday, November 28. As part of Phase III, signs have been installed on the following streets

      West 4th Street West 5th Street West 6th Street West 7th Street
      West 8th Street West 9th Street D Street E Street
      F Street Dorchester Street Loring Street Grimes Street
      Baxter Street

      Work is currently underway on Phase V of this project which is anticipated to take eight phases to complete. Phase V consists of streets bordered by East Broadway, Columbia Road, L Street and G Street.

      Residents who have not yet applied for their resident parking permits should apply for them at the Office of the Parking Clerk. The Office of the Parking Clerk is located in room 224 of Boston City Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4:30 PM. To obtain a resident permit, you must present your valid vehicle registration.

     The vehicle must be registered in your name at your current address. You must also provide proof of residency for this address in the form of a current utility bill, credit card bill or bank statement. The proof of residency must be in the same name and address as the vehicle registration.

     South Boston residents and merchants with questions or comments regarding the resident parking program, or any other Transportation Department issue, are encouraged to contact the Boston Transportation Department at 617-635-4-BTD.
