|SBCA Open Community Meeting
Thursday, February 16, 2006 at MBTA Employees Union Hall
The South Boston Citizens’ Association will hold an open community meeting on Thursday evening, March 16, 2006 at 6:30 pm. The location of the meeting will be at the MBTA Employees Union Hall on West Fourth Street, above the MBTA Credit Union.
The agenda will feature announcements concerning the 2006 Evacuation Day Events Schedule and activities; City Council President Michael F. Flaherty will give an update of goings on in City Hall. A representative from Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department will also be speaking on the Sheriff’s Departments Role in Public safety.
State Representative Brian Wallace will give a brief update on local development and recent crime watch meetings held in South Boston. He will also share political commentary on the hotly contested Mayor of South Boston Race. As is the policy at all SBCA open community meetings, anyone wishing to address the audience with relevant neighborhood issues or announcements will be allowed time. Light refreshments will be served at close of meeting.
NOTE: Tickets for the upcoming Celtic Music Fest will be sold at the meeting.
