| Laboure Center Seeks Raffle Items for Auction |
Items for silent and live auction bidding are being sought for the
Labouré Center’s 24th Annual Spring Reception and Auction, scheduled for
Thursday evening April 27th at Anthony’s Pier 4 Restaurant. As always, a
highlight of the evening will be the opportunity to bid on a roomful of
auction items including original artwork, rare wines, sports memorabilia,
restaurant certificates, travel packages, and sports and theater tickets.
“We are so grateful for the tremendous support we are seeing again this
year,” stated event chairperson Jennifer Roberts of Office Environments,
Inc. “Every dollar we raise at the Spring Reception goes right into the
community services of the Labouré Center, so our supporters know that when
they donate, they are directly helping local families,” she said.
This year Roberts and committee members Mary Lou Howard, Rosella Campion and
Mary Anne Rull are seeking unique items for both the event’s live and silent
auctions, and seeking out additional area businesses to support the annual
event as sponsors. Those wishing to donate auction items or sponsor the
reception should call Judy Swanson at the Labouré Center at 617-464-8503.
The reception will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Anthony’s
Pier 4 Restaurant. The evening features a cocktail party with both live and
silent auctions. This year, the Labouré Service Award to will recognize Mr.
Edward G. Casey, CFO and Treasurer of Massa Products Corporation and a
longtime supporter and volunteer of the Labouré Center.
The Reception and Auction will benefit the community programs of
the Labouré, which has served South Boston and the surrounding communities
for nearly 100 years. Each year, Labouré helps over 6,000 children,
families, teens, and elders by providing early childhood services,
after-school youth programs, family counseling, and elderly care.
