Over the years, many people have played an important role in the life of St. Brigid School. One such person is a familiar face to all of you who have entered through our front doors. Sister Geraldine has greeted pastors, parents, priests. principals, teachers and most importantly many children for the past eighteen years. Her wisdom, dedication, humor and holiness of life has been a great asset to our St. Brigid Family. Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time for everything and Sister Geraldine at this time has decided to retire and leave the school that she loves so much. This is a great loss for all of us and we will miss the God given gifts that she has graciously shared with all of us here at our fine school. She will be greatly missed. New faces may sit behind the front desk, different voices my answer the phone and others may judge pumpkin contests, referee basketball games and pass out bandages; but no one will be able to replace Sister Geraldine. In appreciation to this special woman we celebrated her years of service with a special Mass on Sunday, June 4, 2006 in St. Brigid Church. The Mass was followed by a reception held at St. Brigid School Gymnasium/Hall. This was our way of giving thanks to a wonderful friend and an opportunity to wish her well in retirement.
|Farewell to Sister Geraldine
We wish Sister Geraldine the very best during her retirement. Her presences will be greatly missed. We are grateful for her many, many contributions over the years.
She touched many lives in very special ways.
