The Séan Marie Maddox Memorial Scholarship Committee has selected Molly Casper, 593 East Fourth Street, as this year’s recipient.

Ms. Casper is a 2006 graduate of Boston Latin School and is currently enrolled as a freshman at Salve Regina University.  This scholarship of $1,000 is awarded annually to a college freshman who best exemplifies the spirit, perseverance, and goals that characterized Séan. 

The Maddox family will officially recognize Molly at this year’s South Boston Neighborhood House “Ollie Road Race” Youth Day on Sunday, September 10 at 11 a.m.  The award ceremony will take place at the Doc and Mary Tynan Senior Center, 136 H Street, South Boston.
