You may have come across the contact information for Castlemaine Construction Services in one of our ads .  To find out more, you can simply log onto:

Or you can simply pick up your phone and call (781)267-1777.  You’ll be answered by Morgan Foley, who owns Castelmaine, a company he began seven years ago in August, 2001.

Foley came here from Ireland in 1999 for the Holidays.  He liked what he saw here, so he stayed and went to work as a carpenter.  For two years, he worked mostly on home improvement projects.  He learned to handle all kinds of jobs, large and small, from one-day repairs to major renovations and additions.

In 2001, he became licensed as a Home Improvement Contractor (#159034).  His reason for going on his own, as he puts it, “I wanted to stay busy.”  Much of his work since then has come to him from satisfied customers – the most effective marketing method, “word of mouth”.  When he’s asked how much of his business is from satisfied repeat customers, Morgan quickly replies, “Most of it.”

Castlemaine projects range from home remodeling to “everything within a residence”.  In addition to himself, Morgan employs a carpenter and a painter, and he subcontracts other crafts such as plumbing and electrical as needed.  Some of his jobs are exterior – painting and deck construction.

Castlemaine Construction Services has worked all over Boston and in Cambridge.  The main office is in Quincy, where Morgan recently completed a three-bedroom attic conversion.  He installed a porch in Dorchester.  And he has two jobs currently underway in South Boston – a total gut, two-family condo conversion and a deck installation.  Both of these are on East Seventh Street.

Morgan wants Castlemaine Construction Services to have more of a presence in South Boston.  Good weather isn’t quite here, but it’s coming, so he would like to hear from you if you are thinking about major remodeling or some exterior work.  He would be happy to spend the summer here, on any kind of residential construction, from small jobs worth a few hundred dollars up to six-figure projects.

Morgan is also into home additions, working with a local architect on the design aspects of this type of construction project.  He says that much of his work has come from real estate people, who are overseeing condo conversions.

On the personal side, Morgan is from Castlemaine (in Gaelic, “Caislean na Mainge”), County Kerry.  Castlemaine is the home of the original Wild Colonial Boy, and its site at the head of Dingle Bay makes it the gateway to the historic Dingle Peninsula.

He has four brothers and a sister – Morgan was the fourth child in the bunch.  His father and mother, Tim and Ann, are both from Kerry.  They visit here once year.  Morgan spends his little bit of spare time fishing in Quincy Bay.
