This years Boxing Show Co-Chairman Mike Larkin, Eddie Kelley, and Tommy Connors will be matching boys up by age and weight, and must report to the South Boston Boxing Club at the Curley Recreation Center on L’ & Columbia Road with a mouth-guard, shorts and sneakers. Tryouts are open to all boys ages  5 to 18 years old weighing from 50 to 180 lbs.  Each young man boxing in this years show will be given a trophy.  Tommy Connors is looking for trainers and experienced boxers to help out with the younger boxers, anyone interested should be at the gym on Saturday and or Tuesday / Thursday afternoon at 3:00pm.

     The South Boston Citizens’ Association will again be sponsoring this years event, as they have for over 65 years. Citizens’ Association President Michael Bare along with the entire 2006 Evacuation Day Celebration Committee.  have started to put together a great week of events. This years Boxing Show will be held on Friday Night March 10th.  at the Jim “Stretch” Walsh Community Center on East Broadway,  South Boston  (Behind South Boston Court ).
