The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has announced that registration is now open for the 2016 Boston Neighborhood Soccer League (BNSL).

This five-week 6 v 6 league offers young soccer players ages 8 to 14 the opportunity to compete against each other and develop their skills.  The program divisions include co-ed 8 to 10, co-ed 10 to 12, boys 14 and under, and girls 14 and under.

This year, with support from the US Soccer Foundation, BNSL will expand to four sites: Almont Park in Mattapan; LoPresti Park in East Boston; Millennium Park in West Roxbury; and Moakley Park in South Boston.

Teams play two games a week Monday through Thursday evenings at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. In case of game cancellation due to inclement weather, make-up games will be played on Fridays.  The league will run from Monday, July 11, through Thursday, Aug. 11.

Pre-registration is required. Teams can register online at leagues.bluesombrero.com/BPRD.
