Mission Statement
South Boston Online is the weekly news publication for South Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods. We publish both electronically and in print.
We will always present to our readers a complete and balanced blend of events, issues, sports, editorials, and personalities of note. Situations beyond our borders that have an impact on South Boston will be reported upon as well. South Boston Online will be well written and entertaining to read – in this media-saturated age, we owe our readers no less.
South Boston Online is free to our readers. Our revenues are derived entirely from
advertisers. We will at all times present ads which are clearly composed and tastefully designed, whether they are personal, commercial, or community oriented, so that our readers can make informed and intelligent choices.

Deadlines
The deadline for text submission is Monday, 5 p.m. We ask that you email your text in a Microsoft Word document to: mail@southbostononline.com. Your copy, on a disc, can also be dropped off at South Boston Online's Headquarters, 663 East Broadway, South Boston.
The deadline for advertising is Tuesday, 12 p.m. Please call, 617-269-5550, to reserve your space prior to our deadline in order to ensure placement.
