On Monday evening, March 7, the annual Evacuation week free throw competition, sponsored by the South Boston Citizens’ Association and the Tynan Community Center, was held at the Tynan gymnasium. Tynan Program Supervisor Kathy Davis and her staff coordinated the event and Tynan Administrative Coordinator John Lydon photographed the event. Former mayor of Boston and ambassador to the Vatican Ray Flynn was present to help out, along with South Boston Citizens’ Association members Bernard O’Donnell and his son, Bernard.
