On Thursday, March 28, 500 corporate and civic leaders, elected officials, community partners, and Save the Harbor/Save the Bay supporters gathered at the Seaport Hotel for Destination Boston Harbor, Save the Harbor's annual fundraising gala.  This event celebrated a year of on-the-water programming that connects millions of the region's residents and visitors to Boston Harbor, the Harbor Islands, the region's public beaches, and waterfront communities, and reflected on the investments and improvements in access to clean water for all.  Each year, Save the Harbor recognizes men and women as Boston Harbor Heroes for their commitment to Save the Harbor's mission, the community, and the Harbor. Dunkin’ made a surprise delivery to Engine 2 and Ladder 19 in South Boston with the help of Al Horford.  To fuel the start to St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Horford will serve Irish Creme Coffee which is back in stores for the first time in five years to the firefighters.  They will also provided them with tickets to an upcoming Celtics game.

By Richard Campbell Perhaps the surest sign of the coming rehabilitation of the neighborhood surrounding Old Colony is the plan for a new five story residential building with retail space on the site of Bell’s Market. The project designers Stefanov Architects have teamed up with developer Rashide, LLC, to put together a comprehensive proposal to the Boston Development Planning Association (BDPA). The proposal submitted in late 2017 is for new five-story 32 new residential rental apartments that are primarily market rate, with 5 affordable units and will include 23 below level parking spaces. Flynn Marine Park.  Promptly at 11 a.m., Flynn Marine Park became even busier.  J.C. Cannistraro LLC, a two-generation, family-owned firm engaged in mechanical contracting, formally and officially opened the doors to “The FID”. “The FID” is a highly evocative name that Cannistraro gave to the BPDA-owned building they now occupy at 25 Fid Kennedy Avenue.  Thomas “FID” Kennedy was a longshoreman; he was also an uncle of John F.
