The South Boston Community Health Center is pleased to announce that the first Youth Ambassador meeting of the spring semester will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the South Boston Community Health Center, 409 West Broadway, 3rd Floor. Youth ages 12 to 16 are encouraged to join the Youth Ambassador group to become involved with health related trainings, community service projects and art based activities that engage youth in the life of the South Boston community.
The Youth Ambassador meetings will be held every Tuesday from January to June. This year, Youth Ambassadors will be involved in a wide variety of activities and trainings to promote a healthier and more fulfilling life, including the Hearts of Kindness Project in February, Community Day in May and ongoing Youth/Adult Dialogues about Substance Abuse, in partnership with other South Boston youth serving agencies. Applications to become a Youth Ambassador will be accepted for two weeks, at the Jan. 19 and 26 meetings.
