The two wreaths on the courthouse were certainly placed upon the scaffolding at the entrance to mark the Christmas holiday season. But there’s something about all that scaffolding that really doesn’t have much holiday spirit. It looks sad. And the wreaths are still there in the first week of the New Year.
Is this because these wreaths will gradually blacken in the Boston smog, and become mourning wreaths over the lack of maintenance at the Courthouse? Or is it because no one dares to climb up there to take them down, for fear of a total collapse of the structure around the entrance to the courthouse?
Who’s minding the store around here?
