Savin Hill hoping to win another title at Moakley Park

On Friday, July 8, in Charlestown, the Savin Hill Little League 9 and 10 year-old-team won the Massachusetts Little League District 9 Championship. They defeated Charlestown and then South Boston before they cruised to a 13-3 victory against their foe from Allston-Brighton. This was a sweet victory for the boys from Savin Hill, because after losing to Allston-Brighton the first time the two teams met in the Districts at Evans Field in South Boston, the Savin Hill team rallied to win two games in a row in the double-elimination tournament to capture the District 9 crown. The Savin Hill squad will be playing in the Massachusetts Little League Section 3 tournament which is being held at Al Festa Field in East Boston on July 13-16.
