On March 31, the early childhood students at South Boston Catholic Academy had a visit from the New England Aquarium’s “Tide Pools Alive” Program. Michael from the New England Aquarium told us about how tide pools are formed and brought some of the small sea animals that are found in tide pools. During this visit, the children were able to look, touch and explore animals that live in a tide pool. The children also had the opportunity to dress up in costumes provided through the program and act out what it is like to live in such an ecosystem. We want to thank Michael and the New England Aquarium for such a fun and informative visit!
Together the preschool and K1 programs are continuously working on enhancing the curriculum to the children’s interests and making connections to the world around them.
