Two months ago, Paul Gannon, who practices law in his South Boston office on Broadway, announced his candidacy for Plymouth/Norfolk County State Senator, which includes Hingham, Hull, Cohasset, Norwell, Scituate, Marshfield, and Duxbury. If you have friends there, ask them to please consider Paul’s candidacy on Election Day, November 8.
And this coming Tuesday evening, you are invited to join Congressman Stephen Lynch, State Representative Nick Collins, City Councilor Bill Linehan, City Councilor Michael Flaherty, and candidate for Register of Deeds Stephen Murphy at a reception honoring Paul. That’s Tuesday evening, October 25, 6 to 8 p.m., at CAPO, 443 West Broadway.
Paul is a third- generation, born-and-brought-up South Bostonian. He says, “I am very appreciative that South Boston’s elected officials sponsored this fundraiser for me.” And it’s not just a fundraiser; Paul also hopes to assemble a crew of volunteers from South Boston to assist him in the election.
Paul’s on the ballot as a Democrat. His public service includes two terms as State Representative from South Boston and two years as a Selectman in Hingham, where he established its Substance Abuse Coalition. That fits well with his aim to take on a key state issue: the Commonwealth’s crisis-level opioid epidemic.
Please drop in at CAPO for Paul’s reception next Tuesday evening. See you there.
