First-grade students at South Boston Catholic Academy recently had the opportunity to meet a children’s author, Mark Gabriele. He read one of his books,“ J.D.’s Scratch Match,” to the class and explained the process involved with writing a story from early drafts, rereading, editing and publishing. He also reminded them about writing dedications and why.
The children had many questions for him and enjoyed his visit. We have some follow-up activities planned and he is looking forward to visiting us again.
